Spirit-led, open and affirming, joyful, prayerful, vibrant, multi-generational, multi-ethnic, leaders in sustainability, mission, and advocacy for the poor, Forest Grove UCC is the oldest UCC church west of Iowa and we are still living out the big dreams of our pioneer forebears. We are Forest Grove's community porch, living room, and kitchen hosting so many groups in the course of the week that there is nearly always a steady hum of activity in the building. Our music program features two children's choirs, handbells, our gospel choir, our sanctuary choir, and a rock band. We founded Pacific University (located right across the street) in 1849 and are pleased to count students, staff, faculty and alumni among our membership.We love the Bible enough to explore it historically and critically, and are actively engaged in living our theology in Sunday through Saturday worship.
