Welcome!
The Central Pacific Conference of the United Church of Christ is a community of congregations in Oregon, southern Idaho and southern Washington. We are multiracial and multicultural, open and affirming, and accessible to all.
Boycott of Arizona Businesses Called Off
At Spring Assembly 2010, an “Emergency Resolution of Solidarity with Immigrants and the SWCUCC” was passed. It called for CPC members and congregations to engage in education, prayer, protest, or direct action and to support the SW Conference call for a boycott of Arizona businesses in response to the passage of SB 1070, an anti-immigrant law. The Southwest Conference has now ended their call for a boycott, as has The National Council of La Raza.
La Raza said the boycott served its purpose of stopping Arizona from passing additional laws, and that it was effective in stopping some other states from passing harsh immigration laws. La Raza said it is now time to focus on national immigration reform.
At the October 14th Board meeting of the Central Pacific Conference UCC, a motion passed to call off the boycott of Arizona businesses. Conference churches are encouraged to continue to engage in study and action on just immigration reform.

God is Still Speaking in the CPC
In this family of 47 congregations our shared commitment is to ministry and mission. The CPC provides spiritual and material resources and encouragement to all our nearly 7,600 members. We put purposes and programs into action by drawing on the experience and talents of all the conference’s members, both lay people and clergy. The CPC assists and encourages local congregations and their members in working together to explore, communicate, support and pursue the ministry and mission of the church, and provides a channel for effective relationships with the UCC and with other faith communities.
