CPC's Justice & Witness Team invites you into Palm Sunday Action Planning

Palm Sunday Action

Since late fall, Together Lab and ecumenical groups around the country have been joining friends from ISAIAH in Minnesota to begin planning a series of coordinated actions in the afternoon that draw from the historical biblical context of the first Palm Sunday—  a counter-protest to the imperial parade of empire that took place in Jerusalem during the Passover festival.

This is an opportunity to:

• Bring people of faith together to flex our collective muscles and build deeper relationships

• Create a counter-narrative to Christian White Nationalism that works hand in hand with empire alongside people of faith throughout the country

• Make meaning of the moment through theological imagination, ritual, singing, and liturgical action

Join us on Tuesday, February 24th from 6-8ish PDT, 7-9ish MDT on zoom (Register here).

From 6-7pm, we’ll draw from some of ISAIAH in Minnesota’s resources to talk Bible, theology, and share a planning template for you to use from 7-8ish in regional breakout rooms. Participants are welcome to join us for the first hour or both!
