We've scheduled Diversity Equity and Inclusion (DEI) Training for our CPC leadership!

This is in keeping with our mission priority of Becoming an Antiracist Conference, and with the budget passed by our last Annual Gathering.

The Moderators have chosen Eric Lackie as our facilitator. The trainings will take place June 22nd from 11am to 4:30pm PDT (12pm to 5:30pm MDT) and July 22nd from 9am to 2:30pm PDT (10am to 3:30pm MDT). Both of the trainings will be on Zoom, and we're urging all Board Members, Ministry Team Members, and Staff to attend one of the two sessions. 

Eric comes to us with a strong background in DEI training as well as a heart for doing this work in religious communities. He is also a Licensed Marriage and Family therapist and clinical supervisor in Eugene Oregon, and has worked in the behavioral health field for 20 years. The Moderators and I experienced his training in a recorded format, and feel it has the right tone and key information. In preparation for his work with us, Eric will be working with the Rev. Lea Mathieu, our incoming Moderator and a former educator, to make sure the information and educational objectives are suited to us.

I know this will take a serious amount of your time and energy. I hope you'll offer it willingly for the sake of our shared mission.
