Riverside Community Church, spearheaded by one very enthusiastic and determined woman in their congregation, Deanne McLaughlin, has embarked on a very successful campaign to increase immigrant awareness and support in their community.

At this fall's Annual Gathering, come shelter with other people and churches who are living as refugia in their communities. Reconnect, remember, and re-energize so you can go home ready to continue being refugia in your communities.

They’ve been hard at work this past year working on helpful resources for clergy and churches, including new tools for clergy compensation.

There have been many opportunities to show up in support of our queer beloved ones. They need to know we see them and stand with them. We’ve kept an updated schedule and here are a couple of remaining events along with some pics from Portland Pride!

Whether you’re a delegate, visitor, or volunteer, General Synod 35 is your time to connect, reflect, and grow in faith and action. Let’s come together to make General Synod 35 a transformative moment for our church and communities!

If you’re not planning to attend in person, you’ll still be able to join many parts of the five-day gathering online, so please consider tuning in virtually.

At N-Sid-Sen and Pilgrim Firs, kids (and adults) can be kids and get dirty, have fun, and make memories that last a lifetime! Camp is about connecting face to face with cabin mates and caring leaders. Camp is a safe place to try new things, learn about God, and grow as a person. Camp is a place to laugh, sing, play and pray together!

The Local Church Ministry Team will be hosting a swap meet on July 8th at 6p Pacific via Zoom.

I have some hard news about the Camp Adams 2025 camping season: We have been advised by the County Health Inspector to stop using any of our buildings at Camp Adams until we can have mold inspections and remediation work done. This means we have to cancel Summer Camp, and may not be able to accommodate churches in the fall.

The world needs you to be the church now more than ever – and you never know who might see your bravery and join with you in the struggle for love and justice.

A service for Karl Vercouteren will be held Saturday, June 7th at 1:30pm.

Think ahead and find out about Juneteenth celebrations in your community so that you can support, advertise, and show up for these events. Maybe even sponsor a booth or gather volunteers!
